Maria has 20+ years of experience with the Tomatis® Method auditory retraining across all applications of the method. As a Tomatis® Senior Consultant Level 4 since 1998, she is one of only 9 licensed Tomatis® International Trainers (Tomatis® Method teachers) worldwide.

Maria introduced Tomatis® in Sweden and Scandinavia, building a strong network of practitioners there. In 2012, she arrived in New Zealand to introduce Tomatis® here. Since then, she has been teaching, coaching, and mentoring new Tomatis® practitioners and schools all over New Zealand.

Maria dedicates part of her time working with clients in her private practice — both children and adults — who benefit from her unique experience.

Why I work with Tomatis®

I started working with Tomatis® because it helped my own family with severe attention and reading/writing difficulties and because it helped me personally when I was close to burnout. I have always wanted to help people and found something extremely effective and meaningful in the Tomatis® Method.

Results

As a Tomatis® Consultant Level 4, I work with children and adults from special needs to brilliant executives who want to make their careers accelerate beyond their dreams. The Tomatis® Method allows me to reinvent their future regardless of where they are now. There is always room for improvement.

My clients want serious change and refuse to settle with “good enough”.

I have worked with children who came off their diagnosis of ASD, Dyslexia, APD, and more. This may happen if the primary underlying cause is due to listening issues. It can be as simple as an ear infection at a critical time causing issues with learning, speech, communication or behaviour — leading to a neuropsychiatric diagnosis.

I have helped clients go from exhausted and close to burnout (like myself) to total successes in their personal lives and careers, and I believe everyone deserves to have both.

I have worked with teenagers who after Tomatis® were able to take responsibility for their lives, change their behaviour against all odds and claim a future away from gangs and drugs.

Not many days go by without me hearing a story from a client or one of the practitioners I’ve trained that makes me smile. I have never worked with anything more positive than Tomatis®!
